"Workstrings International have been involved in Spiralbanding trials for several years. We utilized Spiralbanding on three strings of drill pipe as a test and following their use on multiple wells, found no evidence of cracking, spalling, or delamination.

The wear to the Spiralbanding was minimal and protected the wall of the drill pipe as designed. We identified a need to protect the tubes of our drill pipe from wear as they went through extended laterals and aggressive drilling. We have found Spiralbanding to be a solution to prolonging the life of our assets and resulting in significant cost savings."
